This page is our privacy policy and cookie information for the website sportsurfacegroup.com. It describes how we process personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable electronic communications law.

This is a practical website translation for visitors. The Swedish version is the primary document for legal purposes.

1. Data controller

The data controller is SSG Sweden AB, company no. 559583-1966, Karleby Hagen 3, 521 91 Falköping, Sweden. We use the brand Sport Surface Group (SSG).

We have not appointed a data protection officer. Questions about personal data should be sent to the email address above.

2. Personal data we process

We only process data needed for the purposes below.

Data you provide

When you submit the contact form or the Hagen Design product form: name, email, phone (if provided), company or club, type of project or product, and message. If you email or call us we process the data you provide in that contact.

Data collected when you use the website

  • Technical data: IP address, browser, device, operating system and approximate location.
  • Usage: page views, clicks (e.g. phone links), time on page and referring page.
  • Cookie choice stored locally in your browser (localStorage key ssg_cookie_consent).
  • If you accept all cookies: analytics and marketing signals via Google and Microsoft Clarity, including heatmaps and session recording.

The form has a hidden anti-spam field. That field must be left empty. If you fill it in, the request is rejected.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Respond to enquiries and provide quotes. Name, contact details and project description. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract (GDPR art. 6.1 b) and legitimate interest in handling business enquiries (art. 6.1 f).
  • Customer and supplier relationship. If an assignment proceeds, data may be needed for the contract and for bookkeeping. Legal basis: contract (art. 6.1 b) and legal obligation (art. 6.1 c), e.g. bookkeeping law.
  • Necessary operation of the website. Security, load balancing and basic technical function. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1 f).
  • Analytics and marketing (only after consent). Legal basis: consent (art. 6.1 a). Activated only when you choose “Accept all”.

4. Recipients and processors

We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including hosting, form handling (e.g. Netlify), email and — if you consent — Google Analytics / Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity. Data may be transferred outside the EU/EEA with appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

5. Retention

Contact enquiries are kept as long as needed to handle the matter and for a reasonable follow-up period. Bookkeeping data is kept according to law. Cookie choices remain until you change them or clear storage. Analytics data follows each provider’s retention settings.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Necessary cookies/local storage keep the site working and remember your consent choice. Analytics and marketing tools are only activated after you accept all cookies. You can change your choice via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent you may withdraw it at any time. You may lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
